Horses of Hope Oregon was established in 1988. Our history makes us the longest continuously operating equine assisted therapy program in the State of Oregon.
We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Horses of Hope Oregon offers health services utilizing the natural movement and empathy of horses to improve the well-being of people
with challenges. Our Equine Therapy programs provide physical, emotional and cognitive benefits, as well as independence and a sense of empowerment. Therapeutic riding lessons are offered year-round, and coordinated with the Salem-Keizer school calendar.
Each week we serve about 100 clients, with over 120 different diagnoses. Our riders are from the mid-Willamette Valley and nine surrounding counties. Horses of Hope is supported
thanks to the many generous donors, foundations, sponsors, and volunteers - who are all an essential part of our success. We offer monthly orientations for those interested in helping out, and are so grateful to the many volunteers for their expertise, dedication,
