Please Join us for a Grand Celebration
Horses of Hope Oregon, founded in 1988 is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. We are the longest continuously operating equine assisted therapy program in the State.
Providing Equine Assisted Therapy to over 80 participants weekly, Horses of Hope uses the natural movement and empathy of horses to improve the well-being of children and adults living with challenges. Our programs provide physical, emotional and cognitive benefits, as well as independence and a sense of empowerment. Therapeutic riding lessons are offered year-round, and coordinated with the Salem-Keizer school calendar.
Each week we serve riders ranging in age from 2 to 83, with more than 120 different medical diagnoses. Our riders are from the mid-Willamette Valley and nine surrounding counties. Horses of Hope’s growth and success is thanks to the support our many generous donors, foundations, sponsors, and committed volunteers. We offer monthly orientations for those interested in volunteering, and currently have over 160 volunteers generously dedicating their time and expertise. This dedicated team at Horses of Hope works together to promote wellness, enhance capabilities, and foster independence in our clients.
